Central Parks Summerstage feels like my summer home. Last Monday I had the joy of witnessing the incredible and beautiful Lykke Li, I’ve been telling everyone that I’m in love. And this past Sunday was the trendy line-up of The Naked & Famous, The Friendly Fires, and the very very enjoyable group from NYC, Cults.

Cults began as a band in 2010 while Brian Oblivion and Madeline Follin were students at New York University. The sound they produce is recognizable yet with a modern and bone chilling aura. This can be felt with their single and video for Go Outside, where as the band place themselves as members of the Peoples Temple Agricultural Project. This project eventually became to be known as the Jonestown Massacre. If you know the outcome, the video along with the dichotomy of the song become very eerie and heart breaking.
